1850 C-1 R2. PCGS graded MS-64 Brown. Choice light chocolate and steel brown with attractive cartwheel luster. The fields are very slightly reflective and this piece offers excellent eye appeal. The only mark, and it is barely visible, is a tiny speck of carbon or crud off the left point of star 13. Sharply struck EDS. Fine doubling shows on many of the stars, parts of the date, and much of the profile (all caused by die bounce).
Our grade is MS62. The attribution and Carvin Goodridge provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
PCGS population 2; tied for finest graded in Brown (#35321).
Estimated Value $600-UP.
