Countersigned by Land Commissioner Elijah Hayward. A land grant to James Sherman Junior for land in Cayuga County, New York, containing 77 and 400ths acres. Missing vellum at left edge affects two or three printed letters. Engrossed portion is faded but legible. Jackson's signature at lower right is large and of medium darkness.
