L'Histoire Générale des Voyages in 1757. Early map depicting Chesapeake Bay with parts of Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey. The Severn River, the harbor of Annapolis, the York River with Hampton, Gloucester, and Norfolk, and the entrance to Delaware Bay at Cape May and Cape Henlopen are shown, as well as all harbors along the coast and major towns and villages inland. The decorative title cartouche at lower right has scrolls, leaves & flowers. Matted and framed to an overall size of 16¾ x 20".
