Apollo 11 Insurance Cover Autographed by Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and Buzz Aldrin. Prior to launch, the 3 crew members autographed what are known as "insurance" covers. These were created by the NASA Manned Spacecraft Center Stamp Club and signed while the crew was in pre-launch quarantine. Some were postmarked at the Cape on July 16, 1969, the day of launch, the rest were postmarked in Houston on July 20th, the day of landing. The covers were specifically produced to be left behind with their families as a form of insurance that could be sold should they fail to return. This cover, post marked in Houston is one that belonged to Buzz Aldrin. A very nice addition to any collection.
Estimated Value $1,500 - 2,000.
