1662 Massachusetts Oak Tree 2 Pence Noe-33 Rarity-7 PCGS graded VF30. Very attractive glossy steel gray with lighter silvery gray toning on the devices. Nicely centered on a defect-free planchet with clear legends and all the border beads showing around both sides. The only mark is a dull dent under the right foot of the first N in ENGLAND, and this dent caused a slight bulge under the second S in MASATHVSETS. A premium example of this very rare variety with the "Large 2" in the date. Slightly finer than the single example in the John Ford sale. Listed on page 38 in the "Redbook." Weight shown as 10.8 grains on the PCGS label.
Estimated Value $2,000-UP.
