1773 Virginia Halfpenny Breen-181 PCGS graded MS64 Red & Brown, CAC Approved. Variety without a stop following GEORGIVS. Lustrous mint red fading to steel brown, about 15% of the original mint color remaining. A very attractive piece. The only marks are a collection of microscopic ticks in the field before the portrait and a light scrape in the center of the reverse. There are 8 strings in the harp on this example. Listed on page 45 in the "Redbook."
