1827 N-7 R3 EF40. Sharpness mint state but the obverse fields have been skillfully smoothed, the work nearly undetectable. There is shallow reddish crud hidden in the hair curls and traces of similar crud in the dentils at stars 10-13. I suspect the smoothing was done to remove a bit of stain from the fields. Frosty steel and chocolate brown. Sharply struck EDS. The reverse is lustrous and very attractive. Worth a close look.
Estimated Value $300-UP.
