Granting 150 acres in the Territory of Illinois to Ephraim Brown, who had been a sergeant in the 34th Regiment of Infantry. Countersigned by Land Commissioner Josiah Meigs. Seal is intact at lower left; age yellowing and wear to vellum. Manuscript portion is light but Monroe's signature is quite bold. Estimated Value $400 - 600
