1786 New Jersey Maris 17-b Rarity-3 PCGS graded VG10. Variety with a Straight Plow Beam and a Narrow Shield. Rather glossy chocolate brown and steel. No notable defects except for a minor planchet clip off the end of the plow beam, as struck. Struck slightly off center to K-10.5. Very late die state with a strong die crack slanting through the 1 in the date to the A before the horse's chest, and the 1 is obliterated by the crack. Listed on page 69 in the "Redbook."
