1788 New Jersey Maris 77-dd Rarity-2 "Running Fox before legend" F15. Ten points sharper but covered with fine granularity on all but the highpoints. No marks or verdigris. Slightly glossy dark chocolate brown with lighter steel brown toning on the highpoints. LDS with strong die cracks on both sides. The date and "Running Fox" are both easily visible. Weight 145.3 grains. Listed on page 71 in the "Redbook." Estimated Value $400-UP
