1798 S-167 R1 Large 8 with Style II Hair AG3. Double Struck. A few points sharper but porous under rather glossy toning that is dark olive brown in the fields and lighter steel brown on the devices. Nothing special except that it was boldly double struck. The first strike was normal and centered on the planchet. The second strike was positioned about 70% off center to K-11 leaving the bust tip and 98 from the date clearly visible at the back of Ms Liberty's head. The off-center strike on the reverse shows several leaves from the wreath and obliterated UNI from the first strike. The date is faint on the first strike. Obviously low grade but a neat mint error. Estimated Value $200-UP
