1798 S-181 R3 Small 8 with Style II Hair F12. Variety with a Large Denominator over Small Denominator. Sharpness VF20 but lightly cleaned and retoned frosty chocolate brown and steel. There are a few patches of very shallow roughness in the field before the portrait and the reverse is covered with uniform extremely fine granularity. No contact marks or verdigris. LDS, Breen state IV, with a slightly raised retained cud at the bust tip and the reverse rotated 30 degrees CCW. The date and legends are complete and strong, and the small 0's in the denominator are clearly visible inside the larger 0's. Estimated Value $400-UP
