1842 N-9 R2 Large Date NGC/NCS Unc Details, Improperly Cleaned. Glossy medium brown blending to darker chocolate brown in protected areas. The surfaces are smooth and display only a few trivial contact marks, none notable. The toning appears original, but the coin is coated with an extremely thin layer of some protecting substance such as "Care" or lacquer. A nice cent, just deserves a proper bath. MDS, die state b.
