1798 S-178 R5+ Style II Hair with Reverse of 1796 Fair-2. Glossy chocolate brown and steel. Smooth and void of any significant marks, just heavily worn. The date is complete and easily readable but most of the reverse is worn smooth, perhaps 10% of the designs remaining visible on that side, clearest at AMERIC. The "single leaves" feature at the top of the wreath is faint at best but there is enough detail remaining to easily attribute the variety.
Estimated Value $500-UP.
