Description Description: Meteorite Fukang Polished Pallasite. Pallsites are indeed gemstones from space containing crystals of olivine (peridot) contained within their iron-nickel matrix. Peridot can come in colors ranging from orange to green to yellow. This 2.5 x 1.4 inch 42.4 gram polished section has also been etched to show its Widmanstatten pattern within the iron-nickel part of the matrix and contains the largest olivine crystals found in any of the known rare Pallasites. These large olivine crystals are translucent and a lovely yellowish-green color. Found in Fukang, China in 2000, clear translucent sections such as this one are in great demand for both their rarity and their beauty.
