1846 N-5 R2 Repunched Date AU55. Frosty light to medium steel brown with an arc of darker chocolate toning on the lower left portion of the obverse. A tiny nick at star 3 is the only sign of contact on satiny, very attractive surfaces.
LDS, die state d, with a strong rim cud break at TA in STATES. CC#2 of 12 known with the single reverse rim cud. The repunching on the date remains visible, clearest under the base of the 1.
