1847 N-7 R2+ MS63. Lustrous light steel brown with hints of underlying very faded mint red on both sides. The surfaces are satiny and very attractive. There is a tiny nick in the dentils at star 4, a small spot of darker olive brown toning under star 12, and a larger spot of dark toning in the dentils over the U. Otherwise this cent is very attractive, virtually flawless.
LDS, die state c, with a strong rim cud break from under the 18 to star 1. Tied for CC#1 of about 20 known with this larger rim cud.
Removed from a PCGS slab graded MS64BN (PCGS label included). DWH #2320.
Estimated Value $400-UP.
