1847 N-38 R1 VF35. Slightly sharper with a few too many light contact marks for the sharpness grade, including a dull vertical nick in the middle of the jawline. Glossy medium brown with hints of faded red in protected areas of the reverse, possibly from an old cleaning.
E-MDS, die state b. There are dull die waves at D and ST, but the obverse remains unclashed and the fine die lines from the main and inner curls are visible. DWH #1296.
Estimated Value $50-UP.
