Great Britain. Pound, 1642. S.2941; North-2400; Morr'D2. Charles I, 1625-1649. Oxford Mint. Chequered exergue type. Obverse: King on horseback left trampling over arms., mint mark Oxford plue, Oxford plume behind King, the area below ground line is chequered.
Reverse: Mint mark seven pellets, three oxford plumes above mark of value and declaration with date below. Believed to be the finest of the six known specimens therefore exceedingly rare.
