1797 C-2 R3 NCS graded Good details, scratches. The obverse has the sharpness of Good-6 while the reverse is several points weaker due in part to bulges from die swelling. The fields and protected areas are covered with very fine roughness and both sides display myriad fine scratches that blend perfectly into the natural patina. Slightly glossy dark olive with lighter steel and chocolate toning covering the devices. The date and LIBERTY are clear. Late die state.
