Wernher von Braun: Formal B&W Portrait Inscribed and Signed in Blue Sharpie To Clark McClelland Warmest Regards" + 2nd Photo. Wernher von Braun (1912-1977) German/American aerospace engineer who, after WWII, he was secretly moved to the United States under the program, Operation Paperclip along with 1600 other German scientists who most were associated with the Nazi party. But the collective knowledge of these men powered America's Space Program with many integrated into the Marshall Space Flight Center. Von Braun is a highly controversial figure widely seen as escaping justice for his Nazi war crimes due to the Americans' desire to beat the Soviets in the Cold War. A very interesting time for America.
