Rare, Original, Antique Stone Litho Seils-Sterling Circus Poster from. The Seils-Sterling Circus were owned by the Lindemann brothers (Bill, Pete and Al), of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The show toured the Mid-Western United States from 1924 until 1938 and proved very successful. Brothers Bill and Pete began their circus careers as performers and performed on the high wire and trapeze. But after a truly successful run, on July 4, 1938 the Seils-Sterling Circus gave it's final performance in Iron Mountain, Mich. On September 19, 1938, the circus was sold at auction, with most of the equipment being purchased by a Chicago businessman.
Offered is a remarkable 1920s stone lithographic poster 16 x 42", the horizontal configuration giving an almost panoramic view of circus animals and ring leader. This example has been sewn onto linen, no touch up and the colors incredibly vibrant. This is a rare poster, we could only find one with this art in an auction from 5-6 years ago.
