Business Card from the Dexter Saloon in Nome, Alaska Printed with Names of Proprietors Wyatt Earp and Charles Ellsworth Hoxie. Wyatt Earp operated a number of saloons after leaving Tombstone, opening the Dexter Saloon in 1899. It was Nome's first two story building and the town's largest saloon. Earp left Nome two years later with over $80,000 in profits. Saloon is gone, but a historical marker next to courthouse marks the location
This card is ripe for restoration, but as is, it is brittle with a crack/separation in upper right corner stabilized on verso with archival tape and missing corner in lower right. Still a very rare piece 2.5 x 4".
