Carved Walnut Etrog Box with Hebrew Inscription and Interior Lining (20th Century). Hand-carved walnut etrog box of oval form, surmounted by a sculptural finial symbolic of fertility and abundance in Jewish tradition. The lid is engraved in Hebrew around the rim with a biblical verse relating to the festival of Sukkot, and the body is carved with a relief scene depicting figures in traditional dress holding the Four Species in procession. The interior is fitted with a purple velvet lining, shaped to cradle the etrog fruit during storage and transport. The exterior exhibits a rich darkened patina, with visible tool marks and natural wear consistent with age and devotional handling. Estimated Value $200 - 300
