An elaborate miniature Torah case of hexagonal cylindrical form, constructed in pierced and engraved metal and decorated throughout with dense, symmetrical foliate and scrolling ornament. The body is formed from hinged vertical panels, each finely pierced with repeating arabesque designs centered by applied roundels set with light green stones.
The upper section is fitted with two slender finials rising from the hinged top, and the lower register features a protruding ornamental panel. The surface displays an even aged patina consistent with age and use, with light deformation and wear appropriate to a decorative ceremonial object of this type.
This piece was likely produced as a miniature or symbolic form of a Torah case (tik), intended as a presentation object, synagogue display piece, or devotional Judaica item rather than for housing a full scroll.
