Pair of Bezalel-Style Wooden Prayer Book Covers, Jerusalem. A matched pair of early 20th-century wooden book covers in the Bezalel School style, each housing a miniature Hebrew prayer book. Both covers are carved from figured wood and relief-worked with an architectural façade and a Hebrew inscription.
Each book retains its original textile-covered spine—one in burgundy, the other in teal—and opens to Hebrew and English devotional text. The volumes bear the imprint of J. B. Frumkin, Jerusalem (Palestina), a notable Jewish printer active in the early 20th century.
The wooden covers display natural patina, surface wear, and handling marks consistent with age and devotional use. Interiors remain intact and legible.
