Scarce Daum Nancy Päte de Verre (Glass Paste) "Empty Pocket" Tray with a White Field Mouse. Exceptional & Likely by Walter & Berge. "Vide poche" is the French term for a trinket tray and literally meaning empty pocket. Daum Nancy produced a very limited run in this style with a cute field mouse reaching for a maple seed pod. That this work is done while in mold form, the glass paste of different colors has to be exactly configured with no color enhancements after. As one can see the mouse is all white from nose to tail but he sits of a mossy/grassy rocks in greens and browns. These dishes have surprising weight and very hardy and have proven to be prized glassworks selling for thousands. This is an extremely fine example and is discretely hallmarked Daum Nancy in pressed letters on the side just below the tail. 3 x 6.5 x 4" No chips, cracks or repairs. Likely by Victor Almaric Walter and Henri Berge. "Due to the considerable number of art glass lots, shipping may take 2-4 weeks from the date of payment. We thank you for your patience. We want every piece to arrive safely. Local pick up encouraged." Estimated Value $900 - 1,500 From the Premiere Collection of Lori Nelson, Film and Television Actress.
