Very Impressive Tall Vase by Gallé. Three Layers Cameo Carved Glass, Purple Irises. Museum quality tall cameo carved glass (3 layers) of exquisitely acid and wheel cut designs of a stand of irises encircling the vase. Émile Gallé (1846-1904), very much ushered in the French Art Nouveau period with his sinuous organic lines and floral motifs. This is a remarkable antique vase standing 17.75" tall with a 7 x 7" base. No chips cracks or repairs. A true stunner, hallmarked Gallé in raised letters in the browns of the iris leaves near the base.
