1795 C-5b R4 Thick Planchet VG8. Sharpness F15 but covered with microscopic roughness and there is a patch of pitting at OF that contains traces of greenish verdigris. No contact marks. Lightly cleaned with glossy dark olive and steel toning in protected areas blending to lighter steel brown toning on the highpoints. The date is clear and the legends are complete, including HALF CENT, which is unusual due to the heavy die failure across the reverse. Struck on a thick planchet intended for a large cent. Weight 110.2 grains.
