1853 N-3 R1 MS62. Mint red toning to bluish steel brown, at least a third of the original color remaining. A few trivial defects, including a spot of darker toning at ER in LIBERTY, a couple light horizontal nicks on the rim left of star 5, and weak dentils between stars 3 & 4, as struck.
MDS, die state b. The fine repunching on the 185 found in the early state is gone but the lump under the 5 remains visible. Tied for CC#9. DWH #2335.
